Found this while researching the De'Longhi Magnifica and wondered if anyone else have experienced the same. The machine adjusts the brew temperature via a button combination while it is in standby mode (main switch in an I position).
With the machine off and the switch in the I position, press and hold the espresso button. Repeated press of the espresso button cycle the brew temperature from low to high. Once you find the brew temp you want, press and hold the long button to save the setting. Seems simple enough.
Does this work for the entire Magnifica line or just specific models? Each model has different buttons and settings so the buttons would have to be present on the machine to be use. Does this save through a descaling cycle?
Have any of you actualy found this to work on your Magnifica machines? Should be a discussion topic when someone complains about their espresso being lukewarm (assuming you dont just tell them to preheat their cup : )). Should be mentioned in the manual which barely do.
