DeLonghi infuser stuck when machine is killed at the main switch?

Another instance when the brew group got jammed and would not budge. The only thing that worked was to open the machine up and manually rotate the brew group back to its home position. It was tight on the side gears so I had to use the socket wrench to rotate. Took about 20 minutes total from opening the machine to the brew group being able to move again. Did a descaling cycle afterwards to prevent any more jams so far the brew group has been in great working order for the past 8 months.

wait can you manually rotate the brew group drive shaft with a socket wrench? what size?

this is the move that people should use when the brew group infuser gets stuck and cant be released. Its the best way to get it back into place instead of trying to pry it.
