Just saw a quick rundown on how to charge the BlendJet. Thought I'd share this since alot of person get confused about the indicator light.
Charge it through the USB-C port using whatever adapter you use for your device. When the battery is low it will flash purple or red and purple indicators. Once you plug in the blender the blue indicator will shows the current charge level. When fully charged the ring will be blue with no blink. It takes around 1.5, 2 hour to charge the BlendJet from low to fully charged.
The purple indicator mean the battery is low but charged and the blue means it’s charging or charged. Simple once you know how but a lot of people think purple means it’s broken or the red means some fault code which it dont. I'd be curious to know from others if the charge time is actualy in the range stated or if it takes longer given how old the BlendJet is.

Purple means the unit is reaching low voltage cutoff. Nothing special about it. The LED light reads the battery voltage and change colors based on a preset threshold.

When I first got mine it took about 1 hour and 45 minute to charge from 0% to 100% using a 2A wall brick. When I used a cheap 5W phone charger it took over 3 hours to charge the BlendJet.

The red and purple combination is actualy just the purple blinking when the BlendJet is under any load. It’s just an RGB light so the firmware allow for red and blue to make purple. There’s no fault code in the color so people who say there is are just making things up.

can you open these up?

You can but it’s not worth it. It’s ultrasonically weld shut on most units so you have to crack it open. Inside is the battery, the battery management system, the motor and the LED ring.

The current generation do not use 18650 cells but a smaller pouch cell they downsized to make the body smaller.

The purple light was on mine for 2 days in a row but it never charged. When I changed the USB-C cable it started working again. Always try a different cable before assuming its dead.

this. Some usb-c cables are for charging and others for data and none come with a label indicating what type of cable they are.
