i opened mine because the paddle stopped spinning and turned out the gear was just stripped. Didnt even need to mess with the motor. Anyway yeah the spanner bit thing is annoying but not a big deal

is the bit size for the cuisinart one closer to like a #4 spanner or #6? trying to figure out if my cheapo kit will even have it
alot of people dont realize you can also just heat the screw with a soldering iron for a few seconds, the loctite or whatever they use breaks down and it backs out way easier. Learned that trick from an old tv repair guy years ago and its saved me alot of headache on stuck fasten…
