Anyone tried making oatmeal in an Aroma rice cooker?

Do oatmeal in my Aroma 2-3x a week. Rolled oats only. 1 cup oats to 2.5 cups water with a pinch of salt and a splash of vanilla. Cook on the white rice cycle. When it turns to warm I add in milk and fruit. Never burned the bottom of the pot.

oh thats actually smart. So the milk just gets warmed?

Why are people making such a big deal out of cooking oatmeal in a rice cooker? Its just a heating element with a thermostat. Cook the oats and walk away. Don’t use milk in it.

Interestingly enough frozen blueberries work better than fresh. They hold their shape better and do not disapears as fast. Not intuitive but I’ve tested both.

The recipe is kinda underseasoned. A cup of rolled oats and half a tbsp of brown sugar will be bland. Give it a tbsp of sugar and a pinch of salt to help enhance the oats flavor.
