let it cool. The boiler can retain heat for ages and you do not want to get near those lines with hot water and a screwdriver

also, drain the water tank and run the steam wand to release the pressure in the lines from the brew group. Yes its obvious but you’d be suprised how many people don’t know about this step.

my la specialista started leaking from underneath after about 2 years of use. The silicone hose that connects the machine to the brew group had loosened at the clamp. Easy fix once I opened it up.

What kind of clamp does it use for the brew group? spring or screw clamp?

spring on mine. Used pliers to give it a good squeeze to tighten and nothing fancy.
