Anyone cracked open a BlendJet to see what's inside?

i opened one up trying to pop it open to replace the blade but broke the motor housing. I didn’t realize the bottom of the motor were glued in two seperate spots.

why the hell are they making a product that is so difficult to open for the consumer? Ultrasonic welding should be banned.

bought three of these for $15 each. Two work fine but the third didn’t. When i opened it up the issue was with the switch not the battery. Fixed it with a $0.40 momentary switch from aliexpress. Not all these fail with the battery.

didn’t take an afternoon. Took about 15 minutes once it was open. Now i have a working one. You do you.

what kind of switch is it? Tact or dome switch?

tact switch; surface mount switches. Dome switch wears out over time.

yeah that’s what i found; the switch starts to fail before the battery puffs up. I’d bet half the BlendJets in the landfills have a bad switch.

the motor on mine was labeled RS-385 or something similar; very generic. Found replacement motors on ebay for a couple bucks. Blade press fits onto the shaft.

yeah it is; nothing custom about it. Which is why so many brands of similar blenders share the same guts.
