Curious how folks here cleans the milk frother on there De’Longhi machines. I found somewhere a quick rundown on how to clean the frother. Wipe it down to get the residue off the steam wand first, then pull the outer metal sleeve off, wipe the internal part of the frother, rinse the metal piece off, and then reattach the metal sleeve. Seems simple enough but I’m wondering about any extra steps folks use to keep the frother from getting all gunky and dirty. Do folks typically disassemble the frother on the milk steam wand? Specifically, do folks wipe the internal piece beneath the metal sleeve of the steam wand? I’d imagine that the milk would burn on that internal piece if it isnt wiped right after each steam cycle, and that would affect the froth that gets created with the milk over time. How often do folks typically disassemble the frother on their De’Longhi milk steam machines? Do folks has to rinse the metal sleeve under hot water, or should soak it in something once in a while?
