What's actually under the motor hood on a NordicTrack treadmill?

Found some informations on the repair of NordicTrack treadmills. I thought I'd start a thread to discuss what seems to be the steps require to remove the motor hood.
According to the available information, to remove the motor hood, all that is required is to remove the screw that attach the hood to the treadmill and gently lift it off the treadmill. There is no mention in any of the available information about having to perform any other step to remove the motor hood. Once you remove the hood, there is access to the drive motor, motor belt, incline motor, the electrical board, and the power button connectors. Thus, it would seem that this is the step that must be performed as part of any troubleshooting for the treadmill as most of the potential failing component are in this hood.
Curious to know if anyone else has encountered any specific detail about removing the motor hood though. For example, are all of the screws the same length? I know from other treadmills that they are not all the same length so I wanted to know if anyone else is aware of that fact prior to attempting to remove the motor hood.

The screws on the treadmill motor hoods on the NordicTrack treadmills are NOT all the same length on most of the newer commercial series treadmill. The front edge tends to have shorter screws while the screws on the rear and side mountings is usually longer. Thus, if taking the hood off the treadmill, taking a picture of the hood prior to removing the screws or placing the screws in cardboard will help to ensure that the correct screw is placed into the correct hole when reattaching the motor hood. This is something that I had to do after I ripped the wire harness connector from the electrical board while attempting to remove the motor hood. Hence, asking me how I know is appropriate.

Worked on dozens of these. The hood almost always comes off but the wire harness for the console can get clipped on some models so be carefuly when lifting the motor hood. The incline motor is not always under the motor hood depending on the model of treadmill. On most of the cheaper model in the C series it’s usually in the front roller area not under the motor hood.

is the motor brush replacement actually doable for a regular person or do you need to pull the whole motor? been thinking about it on my old c2050
