Seeing as how a few peoples has asked about this same problem I figured I'd share what I've come across.
The first thing to try is simply the power button. Even if it seems like an obvious first question the power button could easy have failed.
If the power button works, then it's likely a fuse issue. There is a fuse in the plug itself. Beyond that though there is another fuse very close to the entrance to the hob's cable itself. You will need to pull the back cover of the hob to access this one. This internal fuse will be the one that tend to fail, as people dont always notice that there is a second fuse within the hob itself. If you have a multimeter you can test the continuity of the fuses to see if they have blown.
Now if the fuse is the one that has blown, is this typically an issue with one of the components within the hob itself? If anyone here has had to replace the internal fuse on one of these Tefals and found that it started working again but then the fuse failed again, would love to hear how this went for you guys?
