Running just one basket on the Ninja Foodi dual zone, what's the actual sequence?

Another thread on another board made me think about starting one of my own here. While the Ninja Foodi air fryer can technicly run in single basket mode you’d think the manual would leave out the Sync and Match button for the single basket mode but they are included.
In reality you can ignore the Sync and Match buttons if you’re running the appliance in single basket mode. For Zone 1 you press 1, then choose your setting, temperature and time and press start. For Zone 2 you follow the same steps but press 2 first. The Sync button is used to prepare the appliance to cook two different foods at the same time and Match is used to copy the settings for zone one to zone two so they both cooks the same but neither of those are needed if only using a single basket for your food.
That said, I think that people accidental use the Match button for one zone thinking it will preserve the setting selected for that zone instead of copying the settings from one zone to the other.
Its kind of intuitive but not exactly. I personally have the 8qt and the 10qt and both follows the same button sequence. Just bigger baskets. The newer model with the window in it has slightly different buttons but performs the same function.
