Resetting a Panasonic microwave, is it just the unplug trick?

Mine had a stuck H97 error code last summer and unplugging helped but ended up the inverter board. $180 part that is not worth fixing on a 6 year old microwave but I did it anyway out of spite.

what told you its the inverter board not the magnetron?

no heat at all but fan and turntable worked. Inverter board shows a burnt spot where one of the IGBTs failed. The magnetron would usually fail with a buzzing sound but its stone cold to the touch so its more of a failed magnetron issue

Panasonic inverter boards are known to fail, search H97 H98 on any repair forum you will find lots of info about these. The control board rarely fails though
