Holding the power button for 5 seconds i think. Might have been longer. Its in the manual but no one reads that.
Received the BlendJet as a gift and the manual was already lost in the box. Had to google how to do everything.
Solid red can also mean the motor is struggling to start due to too much frozen content in the container. I had this error when I put in too much frozen mango. Once I removed some it started up again.
red means mechanical and purple means battery just like everyone else said so blue is the all clear.

what happens if I try to charge it while its flashing red and purple?
mine took about 20 minutes to charge to the point where the LED would change from the flashing red and purple to spinning purple indicating its charging.
My flashing red was caused by yogurt gunk getting into the lid. Once I cleaned it out the alignment was fine.
While the user experience for the BlendJet is admittedly fairly poor due to the confusing LED indicators, I’d rather have a machine that uses five different colors to indicate its status as opposed to a mobile application that will nag me whenever I try to make a smoothie.
