NordicTrack incline making a ding ding ding sound, common cause?

Does anyone know if this same procedure will work for older models such as the Pro 2000 series?

pro 2000 you have to fold up the deck first. Then there is a black plastic cover on the incline motor assembly that has 4 phillips head screws. Once you remove that, the lead screw is directly accessible. Same basic procedure.

all this talk about grease and nobody mentioned unplugging the dang treadmill. Ive seen too many treadmills with fingers getting pinched because people didn’t unplug from the power source before putting a finger into the incline motor.

yeah, that can happen even if you’re not holding any buttons down, right?
