I am searching online for the best compact air compressor in the market and I came across on this Milwaukee M18 cordless air compressor. I need this type of tool for light tasks such as dusting my garage, inflating tires, nail gun projects, you know what I mean, those light tasks that needs a compact air compressor.

I’m considering this tool mainly because I have several M18 batteries in my garage and I think they could use some help for this tool. I just don’t have any idea on how well this tool manages, could my 5.0Ah be enough, or should I buy new 8.0Ah batts? How’s its noise compared to traditional air compressors?

As an M18 user, I can say that this tool is pretty good when dealing with light-duty tasks. Yes, it can inflate tires, can do nail gun tasks, and easy dusting. Just don’t expect too much from it, traditional air compressor’s power is unmatched.

I’m still undecided because of the batteries’ power, how long is the maximum battery life?

For 5.0Ah up to 30 minutes of non-stop work. For 8.0Ah, about 45 minutes of non-stop work. If you’re going to use it on longer tasks, go buy another set of batts.

It’s a no for me. Not fit for bigger projects like running a framing nailer. But for easy tasks like basic inflations, it’ll do you good. For a person like me who works non-stop, it doesn’t fit my jam, might as well stick to corded air compressors.

This tool isn’t going to replace full sized shop compressors. No, it can’t. I specifically bought my M18 compressor because I was getting tired of the cord of my old model. I bough this model for easy task purposes like inflating tires, blowing of sawdust in my workspace, and some quick brad nailer jobs that needs to be done quickly.

The noise of this tool is nothing compared to traditional compressors, that’s a big plus for me. I won’t be needing to turn on my loud compressors when dealing with basic stuff like cleaning sawdust. The batts are not built for long use – they can last up to 30 to 45 minutes depending on your batteries. If you’re dealing with longer projects, then I suggest you buy some spare batteries.

Are you already inside the Milwaukee M18 ecosystem? If you are, then you might as well buy this tool because the convenience it will give you. I know, it’s not as powerful as the traditional, but it’s worth it if you already have some batts.

Portable, light weight, and can be used in tight spaces. Lucky I’ve bought one for my garage, very surprising about its power. But for me, its portability is its best feat.

I like its quieter feature, especially when working indoors and inside the house. Not as loud as my traditional set up. If you’re really sensitive to noise, maybe buy some earmuffs too, but for me, I didn’t need earmuffs when working with it.

I got mixed feeling with this tool because I very much liked its lightweight feeling and portability – unmatched convenience for me, no other tool gave that feeling to me. Plus, its cordless feature is really wonderful for people like me who has plenty of work on tight spots. Very convenient when working with quick fixes and dust cleaning. No need to wear earmuffs or turning on large compressor whatsoever.

My only concern is when talking about its power, you cannot use this tool on a finish nailer for a larger trim job – it will struggle so much. Sometimes, you will experience a burst of power, other times you’ll run out of pressure. You will feel left out when you run out of battery while working.

But overall, a great addition to my tools, buy it for convenience – don’t expect too much from it.

I think I’ll go for it, this tool is what I need most. I need its portability and cordless feature more than anything.

I’m glad I bought it for inflating reasons, like inflating air mattresses and bike tires.
