Midea MS-50 mini fridge, how does the 1 to 6 dial actually work?

random question but does the setting of the mini bar affect how loud the compressor is when it turns on? Mine is louder at higher setting.

its in your head. Its the same regardless but you just hear it more when the compressor is cycling on more often at higher settings.

Another thing to keep in mind regarding the mini bar is where you place it in the room. I once had one in a cabinet that was maybe 2 inches away from the back wall and it could not get below 45F on the highest setting. When I moved it to where it had 6 inches of clearance behind it the same setting dropped to 45F. Mini bars like to dump heat out the back so make sure it has space to allow the heat to escape the fridge.
