hermes keeps saying "external memory is off for this session" (holographic not installed)

run hermes plugins install holographic by hand, then open config.yaml. a half finished auto install can leave holographic stuck in plugins.disabled with memory.provider blank, so hermes memory status still says built-in only.

holographic left core for the plugin catalog, 0.21.6 tries installing it on start and when that fails u get

Memory provider 'holographic' is not installed, so external memory is off for this session. Its automatic install failed less than an hour ago: run hermes plugins install holographic.

if hermes plugins install holographic itself bails with "Install declined: dependency install skipped (non-interactive)", tack on --yes-deps. and if uv then whines that pilk==0.2.4 has no publish time, thats ur pip mirror missing metadata. run that one command with UV_INDEX_URL=https://pypi.org/simple set

fwiw the failed install leaves memory_store.db alone so the facts are all still there, and the pilk lock bug is already fixed on main, just not in a release yet
