Very excited with this new tool that I’ve got from a clearance sale! DeWalt DCD999 and DCF850 combo kit with 2 PowerStack batts.

I think this tool is perfect for me because most of my jobs are DIY, light contractor work, and basic repairing. Anyone who has an experience with this set? How’s the batt life?

I’m also a powerstack user for months now, and I can say that they’re also great for compact tools such as my DCF850. The batts are slightly lower than 5.0Ah packs, understandable because of its size and weight.

I’ve been using this the same combo for months now, and I can say that the DCD999 is a good especially when paired with FlexVolt batts.

FlexVolt batts for heavy duty tasks and PowerStack for daily, basic, and easy tasks. Don’t sleep on powerstack, they’re also good when it comes to portability

PS batts for me are my go-to batts when doing simple task and tight spaces using my smaller tools. Yes, they can’t withstand the power and longer-lasting capabilities of 5.0Ah and FV, but they’re not designed like that – they’re designed for smaller and quick jobs.

DCF850 is one of the tools that are powerful yet compact, specially when combined with PS – this combo will not tire you even working for hours. On the other hand, DCD999 is on the other way around – they’re better paired with bigger batts and they’re good for drilling concrete.

There are different kinds of combination perfect for your daily or occasional use, this combo of yours only needs higher-cap batts for heavy-duty jobs!

you will be needing the bigger packs when it comes to heavy usage.
