ha bosch shc stuck after setup, "Error in polling thread: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'loop'"

home assistant 2026.10 pulled in bosch shc and the overlay for switches just freezes after the first load. reload buys one update then it stalls again.

Error in polling thread: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'loop'. Waiting 15 seconds.

logs spam that every fifteen seconds. doubtful the wall switches themselves are the problem since commands from HA still go out fine.

the bosch_shc polling NoneType loop was from child lock switches created when ChildProtection was missing. core 2026.10.1 only creates that switch when the service exists.
