Good day, folks! I just had a DeWalt trim router and noticed that they don’t offer many router bits sets? I saw a deal on Amazon but it was for $200, which is more than I paid for this new router. I really liked this brand, in fact, I was hoping for a ToughSystem DeWalt set, but it’s really out of budget.

Do you have any recommended router bits brand that fits well with this new device of mine. Thanks in advance!

There are several brands of bits that I used in my project like CMT, Freud, and Whiteside bits. But if you have the money, just go for Amana, their high quality will be a good investment for you. For me, investing in these individual bits is way better than investing in big sets because you won’t use all of them for sure.

Most of the time, I use a straight bit, rabbet bit, and a round-over. That’s all I need and it cover almost any work I do. If you work with slabs, that’s the time when you need large flattening bits.

I lean towards cleanliness and organizing, that is why I need sets.

Me, I’m more of an individual person. I like buying individually where I get the exact tool which I often needed. It’s like investing in better quality and not storing any worthless bits.

CMT all the way!!! Good quality, price, and durable. Also, I prefer buying solo rather than sets. That way, I will have the best tool for my specific job.

I’m a Freud user that’s why I’ll vouch for them. No issues, durable, very sharp, and reasonable price. What more can you ask for? 😁

In my research, DeWalt focus more on their power tools rather than their accessories. Yeah, a bit frustrating, but there are still plenty of brands which makes quality accessories.

I think so too, I just hope they have sets.

Buy the 35 piece Trend Router Bit Set, I think this is what you’re looking for. Not only they fit nicely to my 1/4” DCW604, they also have a solid range of bits that covers most of the task. Plus, they come in a compact metal flight case which is perfect for your OCD lol. 😂 They are also perfect for my DeWalt ToughSystem container, especially when you put foam inserts to keep them organized and neat, oh man!

I know they aren’t built to last forever, but I’ve been really a fan of their product especially with their clean cuts, sharp blades, and even with their packaging. There’s really so much for this product! Even if I suddenly needed a change tool, I will probably have one close enough for the job.
