Saw this list of common reasons for which a DeLonghi coffee machine stop brewing (when the machine is functioning otherwise). The six reasons that are commonly listed is beans in the hopper, the grinder itself, the infuser, the flow meter, the water pump, and the infuser motor.
The bean level and infuser cleaning are obvious and common. If the grinder is not turning the machine cannot brew the coffee, regardless of the remaining component. The flow meter and the water pump isnt as immediately obvious as to how to fix those issue. Lastly, the infuser motor is the least obvious of the listed issues.

infuser, infuser, infuser. 9 times out of 10 its just gunked up and the motor cant push it home. People throw part at it before doing a proper degrease.

On the Magnifica line I've seen flow meter issue much more than people realize. The impeller get scale on it and doesn't spin correctly. Pop it out and soak in descaler and its good.
