Saw someone ask about a delay brew function on there FlexBrew the other days so I thought I'd toss this out here since it tends to trip people up a little more than it should. The processes for initiating a delayed brew cycle are actualy very short and simple, there's just alot of wording in the manual about it that makes it sound much more complicated than it is.
First, make sure the clock read the current time on the machine. Then, hold the Delay Brew button and tap the Set Time button to select the time that you'd like the machine to begin brew. Press the Delay Brew button one more time to confirm the time selected and the green lights should come on. If it dont come on, then the machine did not take that input.
The confusion come in trying to actualy initiate the setting of the brew time. If you do not hold the Delay Brew button and just tap the Delay Brew button repeatedly, the machine will not accept the input of the brew time, it will just toggle the Delay Brew function on and off. Additionally, if the machine lose power during the night, the clock will reset and the delayed brew will reset with it. In response to this, I was wondering if anyone that is still using one of these machines has experienced the green light on but no brewing occur in the morning. A few other that I know have mentioned this, but it's unclear whether it was due to an issue with the switch or if people just set the clock to PM instead than AM.
