codex on windows refusing replies in dot tasks, "AbsolutePathBuf deserialized without a base path"

codex desktop on windows is being weird with tasks a dot started. try to send a follow up and u just get

Error submitting message
invalid turn/start params: AbsolutePathBuf deserialized without a base path

regular local chats work fine, its only the dot created ones. ppl on github say force quit, reinstall, fresh dot tasks dont help. what does work is letting the dot relay the msg to the task, or just using codex cli inside wsl for now. no official fix yet afaik
