Aroma rice cooker dead, is it usually just the fuse?

Used a magnifying glass. Under close inspection the trace was cracked in half where it flexes when you screw the control board back into the cooker. Classic aroma move of using cheap thin pcb material.
 
You guys are missing the obvious one. The magnetic switch that detects when the pot is in place. If that fails then it thinks there is no pot in place and refuses to heat up the pan.

different failure mode. OP's problem is that there are no lights at all when the cooker is plugged in.

Should be on the fuse that failed. Should have a printed rating. Too low and it will nuisance trip when the pot is properly cooking. Too high and you defeat the point of the fuse.

this. Always use the same spec. People who go for the 240c because their 192c keeps blowing are the same people who burn their food and wonder why the pan smells of burning plastic.
 
Regarding the OP's question. For about 80% of the time a new fuse will do the trick. For the remaining 20% it's usually a thermostat or relay issue causing overcurrent or overtemp. If the fuse blows within minutes or hours of use then the same issue exists. If the new fuse lasts for weeks or more then it was just an old fuse.
