Yo, wassup guys?! Can anyone suggest me the best vintage tool brands out there? I love discussions about these particular brands; Stanley, Disston, Miller Falls, or whatever brand (because there are too many).

I love to have some opinion on this, particularly those who devote themselves into vintage tools. Why do you love a particular brand, is it for nostalgia? Or maybe even its durability?

My bias belongs to Stanley, man! Their tools surpass even WWII. Just clean them up, sharpen their blades, and their good to go. No one can beat Stanley when it comes to their old hand planes.

I’ll go with the most underrated of the 3, Miller Falls. Their underrated reputation makes their prices decent compared to the 2 brands, without compromising the durability and efficiency of their tools. They’re well known for their hand drills and planes, their just as good as Stanley’s.

Oh, really?! I’ve encountered Miller Fall tools at an estate sale and didn’t knew it had much potential. I should have taken consideration smh. Do you have any more model suggestions?

Well, North Bros sounds best for me. No one can beat their durability, built like tanks and quality materials, their solid mechanism works like a dream. Vintage are more better compared to the new ones, they aren’t built as good as their vintage tools.

Try Pexto, their hand tools and braces are a must have. I know they’re not that popular, but their hand drills are top-tier and can compete with the best brands! 😊

Have you seen Craftsman? Their older tools are built to last an eternity, like their 50s-70s tools. In fact, I still have my old pop’s ratchet set, still works better than the new brands out there.

100% agree on this, they’re the real deal! You can compare their old wrenches and sockets to hard steel – the quality of the old stuff is way better than their modern stuff.

I’ve been into vintage tools recently and found out about this brand called Keen Kutter. They’ve got top notch chisels and hand planes, not as famous as Stanley, but I was able to restore a plane last year, and it quickly became one of my favorites – been into vintage tools because of this brand, built with care, and they’re crafted by their companies to last for a lifetime.

We’ve got the same reasons, man! Vintage tools are built to last a lifetime! Keen Kutter, I’ll keep my eye on this brand! Thanks! 😁

If you’re looking for collectible tools, look for Bridge City Tool Works. Not as old as your brands, but their old stuff is pretty neat!
