Seeing as there were a few discussions regarding whether the dedicated Rice program on the Instant Pot actualy do long grain white rice properly, figured I'd ask the question here in the forum.
The standard method is supposed to be 1 cup of long grain white rice (rinsed) with 1 cup of water (ensuring a 1:1 ratio). Place the rice and water in the Instant Pot, place the lid on, set the valve to sealing and press the Rice button (which runs the pot at low pressure for 12 minutes). After the 12 minutes you can either naturally release the rice or quickly release it depending on personal preference.
With long grain white rice, should the 1:1 ratio be use? Many stovetop recipes uses ratios of 1:1.5 or 1:2. Could someone increase the amount of water for the slow release pot? Does the choice of natural release or quick release make a difference with long grain rice? I'm curious as to the thoughts on these question.
