Looking into the Hoist Fitness prone leg curl machine after seeing a demo. Main thing is getting the pad just right before use or it will put stress on your lower back. Saw a demo of the machine showing the seat adjustment, positioning on the pad, and then performing the leg curl motion. Nothing too special about the machine but the emphasis on getting the pad adjusted properly prior to use. Have you all played with one of these in a commercial gym (or at home)? How does it compare to the Life Fitness or Cybex prone curl machines in terms of comfort? I’ve heard mixed things about the prone curl machines (some swear by them, others hate how it can stress the lower back). Its curious to know how durable the cable and pulleys are on the Hoist. As someone who plays with the more expensive brands from this company, is it common for the cables to need to be replaced every few years with heavy use? Any tips for getting the adjustments set up properly for those of a taller build? Its interesting to note that most demos seem to use average height users so its curious how this would work for those of a taller build. Would love to hear from anyone who has played with this machine in person.
