found a flush test for the sericite toilet bowl, thought it might be worth discussing.
demo of the sericite toilet bowl.
most toilets on the market has great specifications. Yet when flushed, the performance is less than ideal. The efficiency toilets advertise for their products does not always match the product when flush tested in real world scenarios. Hence the reason a flush test for any brand is more useful than marketing copy.
does anyone have experience with sericite toilets? how does it compare to other brands in the same category? does the demo live up to the brand or are there any issues with these toilets after a while?

What gpf is the Sericite rated at? And is it siphon jet or washdown style? Kinda matters before anyone can compare it to anything

Toto Drake and call it a day. Been installing them for 14 years and ive replaced maybe 3 flush valves total across hundreds of units. Everything else is a compromise.

is the trapway glazed on these? unglazed traps are the silent killer no one talks about, stuff sticks and builds up over years

agreed on the glazed trap point. I had a customer with a no-name bowl that flushed great new but after 3 years the trap was so caked it would barely move a tissue. Tore it out and put in a Kohler Cimarron and never heard from them again.

the OP makes a fair point about marketing not matching reality but honestly demos arent much better. Ive seen plumbers do MaP tests with 1000g of soybean paste and the same bowl will fail miserably in a real bathroom. The only thing that matters is install quality regardless of brand past a certain price point. People will get fixated on the porcelain but the wax ring might have been installed in the hot truck for 2 months. Anyway tldr i dont trust either marketing OR youtube demos.

Has anyone actually measured the rim jet flow on one of these? Like with a bucket under the rim? Curious if the jets are evenly distributed or if its one of those bowls where only half the rim actually rinses

installed two of em in a rental flip last summer. Flush is decent, nothing crazy. The supply connection was a weird size and i had to run to the store to buy the right size for it.
