Anyone actually use the oatmeal setting on their Aroma rice cooker?

How many of you use the oatmeal program on your aroma? I found a write up online for making oatmeal in an aroma rice cooker and thought it was worth discussing since most of my friends only use aroma rice cooker for cooking rice.
The method uses 1 cup of oats (or more for more than one person), a 1:2 ratio of oat to water (or milk/water), and then using the oatmeal setting for 50 minute. After the 50 minutes, leave it on keep warm for another 10-20 minutes to allow the oats to absorb the extra moisture and thicken. Then add toppings to the oatmeal when it is done cooking. It sounds very involve for oatmeal, but really quite easy.
50 minutes for oatmeal seems like alot though. I’d think that would be perfect for steel cut oats but potentially too long for rolled oats that would end up mushy. Also, using milk instead of water for oatmeal for that long might cause the milk to scorch on the bottom of the pot. Have any of you used milk in your aroma cookers without it sticking to the bottom of the pot?

Would the oatmeal program on an aroma rice cooker use a different temperature cycle than the rice setting? I’ve always curious about whether the dedicated buttons on rice cookers actually do anything different from the rice button.
 
I have an 8 cup aroma and I use the rice setting for everything. Oats, quinoa, rice, whatever. It comes out fine. I don’t need the other settings.
 
Forgot to mention that if using milk instead of water that the pot must be greased beforehand. I found that a little bit of butter on the bottom of the aroma rice cooker pot helped with the milk setting. Otherwise I use half and half instead of milk. Steel cut oats is 1:3 ratio and come out perfect on the oatmeal cycle. Also allowing it to sit on keep warm for 15 minutes after the cycle completes produces better results.

so does no one understand the question I posed in part 3 regarding the temperature settings for the oatmeal cycle compared to the rice setting?
 
I use the oatmeal setting for steel cut oats only. It’s my Sunday meal setting. Just dump in the steel cut oats and set it for 50 minutes. One of the best uses of the aroma rice cooker besides cooking rice.
 
Using the aroma rice cooker for cooking oatmeal will result in oatmeal cooking times that are long enough to allow for scorching of dairy products in the pot. It WILL scorch if you leave it unattended.
 
Has anyone tried using an aroma rice cooker to cook oats that have been soaked overnight in milk? Since the oats would already be soaked I imagine this would reduce the amount of time needed to cook them.
