Any tips on how to start remodeling a whole bathroom?

The walls should be tear down to its every square inch, for you to see if there are any probable leakage of some sort or even termite issues. I suggest use drywall, compared to its peers, it is cheap and worth it!

I’m planning on remodeling my whole bathroom, it consists of a separate shower and tub and double vanity sink. I didn’t consider DIYing the whole place so I hired professionals.

Can you give me some things to know before doing this? Any recommendation will greatly help! Thanks in advance

Thanks for this! Pretty sure that the previous owner had some water damage because they painted some spots on the ceiling below the bathroom smh. My biggest concern is how much damage did it have.

I suggest you buy your own tile, vanity, fixtures, accessories, or even studs. The contractor might buy cheap stuff. Better to purchase quality accessories yourself to ensure long term usage.

Blockings might be very helpful for shower doors and vanity/sink hung in the wall. Do this before the walls are installed because its very cheap, but very expensive after.

Speak your mind boldly to your contractors. They need you to explain them in detail what needs to be done to your bathroom. Also, ask for their certifications for plumbing, electrical wiring, tiling, etc… It will be very beneficial to you before starting the project.

I felt like a fashion architect when I was designing our bathroom, I went bold and didn’t think of other people’s say about it, and it went splendid! I designed it black and white with gold brushed finish.

My suggestion is to design it ahead on time so you can conduct a proper plan of the whole bathroom accordingly.

I also wanted to my bathroom to look modern. Did you have any troubles coordinating your design to your contractor?
