Any advice between SPC and LVP flooring?

We want some advice about SPC and LVP flooring because we’re planning to remodel our house to cater our forthcoming child and our cat, that is why safety is our top priority.

Is an SPC priced at $2.50 to $4 per sq ft w/ a 20mil wear layer a good price? It is available nearby us. We bring this up to our contractor and he said that its quality isn’t that great and offered LVP from another store.

Can I have some great inputs in this dilemma?

I hate to educate but SPC is basically a type of LVP. Luxury Vinyl Plank has both Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) and Wood Plastic Composite (WPC). LVP = SPC + WPC. Therefore, you’re basically comparing two types within the same category.
