Kohler bathroom fixtures, how different is the operation really?

found a walkthrough for kohler taps, showers and mixer set. The guy in the video seem to demo how to operate them smoothly and correct. Seems like alot of people struggles with the mixers and the rain heads on the shower sets.
kohler mixers and taps has a specific feel to them that’s different than the cheaper brands. People either love the rain heads or they find themslevs fiddling with them trying to get the pressure right.
this demo will help people who are in a process of spec’ing out kohler taps and showers for there bathroom build or if they’re trying to figure out why their shower’s not working as expected. It's not going to tell them why their kohler fixtures is malfunctioning but instead how to use them.
what are peoples experiences with kohler products? have they held up over time and were the taps and mixers easy to operate as demonstrated in the video?

had a kohler rain head for about 4 years now. The nozzle tend to silt up if you have hard water in your area. A quick soak in vinegar every 6 month or so and it’s fine. The mixer cartridge seems to still be smooth and there are no complaint about the mixer.

touchy mixer is usualy due to the person not being used to how the ceramic cartridge feels vs rubber washer taps. No fault in the mixer at all. People just get used to the travel on rubber washer tap.

when you have a silt build up on the nozzles, are we talking about the rubber nub style nozzles vs the metal jet? we’re spec’ing out a kohler rain head for a reno in a couple of week. Hard water can ruin them within a year? do you have a pressure regulator for your shower inline or not?
