Has anyone here attempted to use the aroma rice cooker for grits?
Grits work in the aroma rice cooker but use a 1:4 ratio and stir at least twice while cooking. They tend to stick more than oats.

50 minutes for oatmeal is insane. I could cook and eat oatmeal and do the dishes in that time.
Has anyone tried adding ingredients during the cooking cycle? For instance I know that rice usually comes with a lid lock so would oatmeal setting allow for opening the lid during the cooking cycle?
Got mine at a thrift store for 4 bucks. Works great though I haven’t used the oatmeal button once.

Because they are not the same cycles. Rice is set off when the temp sensor detects the water has boiled off the bottom of the aroma rice cooker pot. Oatmeal is not.
