Samsung microwave reset, is the unplug method actually a thing?

Seen in a few different threads regarding various appliances, so figured I'd ask the question here of the community regarding whether or not the Samsung microwoves actualy even have a reset procedure.
From what I understand about them, there is no reset button on the appliance. Instead, to "reset" the door, one is supposed to simply unplug the Samsung microwave for 5-10 minutes, then plug it back in, and reset the clock on the appliance. The theory behind this is that by unplugging it for 5-10 minutes, the capacitor on the control board will fully drain, essentially "resetting" the appliance. My question is: does the 5-10 minute wait really do anything besides show off how much they knows about electronics? Isnt 30 second enough to fully drain the capacitors on these appliances?
Curious to know from those with more experience what the consensus are on this issue! Is there some button combination on certain models of Samsung microwaves to perform a "factory reset"? Is this the only procedure available for these appliances?

I've been fixing samsungs for about 12 years and the dirty truth is the unplug fix is a coin flip. If the panel freeze up due to a voltage spike or something weird on the MCU it will clear up. If the panel is freezing every other week, the membrane or control board are on it's way out. Had one last month that the customer was doing this every other week for the past 6 month. Board was cooked when I opened it up, traces discolored near the relay.

wait so does the clock setting thing actualy matter or is that just a side effect? like is there any model where you HAVE to reset the clock for it to fully boot back up?

The unplug method is real, 30 seconds is usually enough tbh. The 5-10 min thing is overkill, caps drain way faster than that on these boards.

30 seconds my ass. Ive seen boards hold state for several minutes on these, especially the ones with the bigger filter caps on the low voltage rail. 5 min is the safe bet.
