Quick question for any who uses the Ninja Foodi dual zones regularly. When using Sync or Match, both zone are tied together and must cook at the same time. What if you only want to cook one side for a limit time though?
According to some tips online though, there is a way to do this. All you have to do is long press on the zone that you want to turn off until the basket start blinking, then hit Start/Stop and that zone will turn off by it's self. The display will read “End” for that zone while the other continue to cook. This is handy for if you have one item that is going to cook to doneness earlier than the other, or if you cooked one side with something that cooks faster than the other.
The only downside to this function is that it’s not include in the manual for the Ninja Foodi units. It’s something that I’d think that alot of people would want from a dual zone model such as this. Have you all used this trick with your Ninja Foodi models?

long press trick work on my AF400UK, confirmed. Didnt know about it for like a year and just kept opening the basket to pull stuff out early lol

Honestly I just yank the basket out when one side are done. The unit will pause and I can get my food, then I can slide the basket back in and it will continue cooking for the other side.

Manuals on these appliances is garbage. Ninja assume that you’ll just figure it out or look at their YouTube videos to learn how to use their products. I have three different Foodi models, and each one has a hidden feature that they did not properly document for the user.
It's not a hardware problem it's a documentation problem and they dont care because the things sells like crazy regardless.

does the long press work during a sync cook too or only match? those modes behave a little different in my experience

works in both for me. Sync just means they start at different time to cook for same duration when done whereas match means same settings on both zones. Long press will turn off whichever zone you press regardless of mode
