I just want your thoughts on curbless shower. I need to know if there are issues about water escaping on the bathroom floor and water pooling.
Also, do you guys have any idea on glass barriers because I will install some to retain heat inside, it that fine? I need some advice about curbless design from people who done this.

CURBLESS design is KING bro! I installed it three years ago during my remodel and I would never choose any design except for curbless. The floor and glass is dry as a bread, and it is not cold as you think it could be now that I also installed a heated floor. I would always choose curbless design over anything haha

It is very important for me to have a curbless shower, in fact, I will also install it on my next house. Curbless design is more beneficial as we age.

me and my wife chose a curbless shower with a Schluter system just recently and we both loved it. use a framed glass shower and waterproofed the whole area to avoid water from escaping.

if it still concerns you, you can consider a framed enclosure or just simply add a curb. last, find a rug that perfectly fits outside your door.

I will address this to my contractor especially the waterproofing part. I appreciate it!

We have a small 30” by 30” shower and we converted it into a curbless design with two glasses in sides including the door. Even though it has a very little slope it still contain water as well as the curb efficiently. I remembered that our installer is hesitant at first, but it still works great as of today.

We did our in-laws a favor by installing them a curbless shower and waterproof their entire bathroom floor. They did appreciate it well because they have mobility issues due to their age. Just don’t forget the slope is linear towards the drain.

this setup is a nightmare, i experienced this a while back when i lived in an older building. there's too many issues like constantly directing water toward the drain, a leak into the downstairs ceiling, and many more. i think it needs a proper installation or a new remodel just to give better result.

Been there man! I faced this problem and I prefer the traditional curbed shower.
