Hi. I need solid dehumidifier suggestions that are cost-effective! My current one feels like wasting energy and money when turned on – it doesn’t dehumidify the place at all! I currently live in a pretty humid location, that’s why I need dehumidifiers that doesn’t cost my entire pay check just to run!

To be precise, I live in a 500-600 sq. ft. area, so I need models that works well with this size. I also would like models that are quiet, has a built-in pump for draining purposes, and low-maintenance.

What you guys think? I’m eyeing Energy Star-rated units but I don’t think all of them are worth it. Do you have any experience with one? How well did it dehumidify your place? Any advice is warmly accepted, thanks in advance!

You should try energy star, dude! – they’re really good compared to other brands. My Frigidaire unit is way too quiet and more efficient than my old dehumidifier.

Check out new inverter models, high-tech yet user-friendly, and turn off automatically when proper humidity is reached – what a money saver! For the model, I suggest you look into Midea – affordable and efficient, just like what you’re looking for!

This Midea guy is no cap! Been using mine for my 600 sq. ft. basement for a year now, no complaints whatsoever! Efficient, quiet, easy to clean, saves energy, what more could you ask for?

Been there, bro! Never turned off the unit yet the room barely changed its humidity? 🤦‍♂️

The answer for me was hOmeLabs Energy Star unit – efficient, has a continuous drain option, and easy to clean. Try this one, this specific brand! The only thing you’ll need to do is clean its filters, so far, too ez for me, no hassle!

If you decide to have one, place it in a space where it can circulate freely. Don’t just place it where your electric input is – place it in the middle of the room for maximum efficiency!

Hmm… Has anyone wonder why all units are louder compared to GE models? Is it just me or GE models are quiet asf? I mean, not that silent, but tolerable compared to other dehumidifiers for sure.

I should have read your tip before! I placed mine in the corner and got regretful afterwards! Now, I’ve put my device in the middle of the room and never felt so happier!

Yo, thanks for this, man! Are Midea inverter units easy to deal with? I mean like, are they easy to maintain?

Personally, I suggest models with hygrometer – this way, you can be specific with what humidity levels you want in your room, plus, it has an automatic shut-off which can save you energy and money in long-term.

I invested in an Aprilaire unit, installed it on my 700+ sq. ft. basement, and glad that it was the right investment. Easy-to-use, user-friendly, and 5⭐on the customer service! Hands up!
