Yo, guys! I just made a new milestone in my life and I’m pretty excited! I’ll be an apprentice!

I think being an apprentice means that I’m the one who crawls into deep, unpleasant, and less glam spaces like attics and crawlspaces based on my research and what I’m told about them.

Now, I just wanna ask about what tools, gears, accessories, and equipment should I focus on buying first. I don’t want to waste any bucks on stuff that I won’t use in the future.

Please comment any insightful wisdom that you have, THANK YOU in advance!

Uhm… Go for kneepads, headlamps, and tool holder that’s pretty slick – if you know what I mean. Or, go with a slim backpack so it can hold all of your go-to tools! Congrats, btw!

I agree to pads, especially knee pads! I just wanted to add compact tool bag as one of your must haves – to have all the tools you need in an all-in-one tool bag.

For me, invest in good footwear for ankle support. You’ll never know what to step on when you’re inside of an old attic – safety always comes first!

Also, get a Leatherman multi-tool! This way, you’ll avoid crawling back and forth just because you left something behind – pretty absurd for me.

Last, keep a handy flashlight with you even though you already have a headlamp. You will always thank yourself that you have a backup when crawling in to tiny spaces.

Oh man, I think you’re a veteran when it comes to these kinds of jobs! All your suggestions are 100% on the spot!

Hmm. Thanks for this idea! Do you have any preferred brand of compact tool bag?

Try searching Veto Pro Pac Bags online. Just a bit pricey compared to its peers, but it will surely do its purpose well. If they’re really out of your budget, then try Klein.

PORTABLE FAN! Really! I missed this one! Thanks a lot for this, bro! I can’t live without this one!
Welcome, bro! Always bring an extra batt for longer usage, charge them before leaving, and don’t let anyone borrow it! HAHAHA

Please always bring water with you. Invest in a good water jug or flask that keeps the water temp low even in hot places.

Last, all of your gears must fit in a single backpack. Avoid carrying your things by hand, be always handy, and bring a whistle if you can.

Thanks for your concern, I almost forgot about water, I’ll keep this in mind!
