Anyone has the same problems as me with this new Milwaukee Packout Vacuum?

Finally, there’s now a chance to buy a new Milwaukee product because our old vacuum has retired. I’ve been eying one of the new models like the Milwaukee Packout Vacuum, because of its modern and slick design. Plus, it would be a great addition to my collection.

What more can I say about it? Portable, cordless, state-of-the-art, compatible with any of the Packout system (which I have almost all of them). So far so good… Been using it for some little stuff like cleaning the car, vacuuming small messes made by the kids, and little dirt and dusts in the garage.

Now, I’ve been thinking, can we use this tool more than we should? I mean, can we make it as a dual-purpose vacuum? I might be the first but, I think I’m having a great point for this. Does anyone did this already?
 
I suggest you buy yourself an old traditional vacuum for the house. Don’t use the Packout Vacuum on your house, carpets, or even for the rest of your furniture – it isn’t made for these chores.

I also have a Milwaukee Packout Vacuum and I never used it inside our house because it is smaller, it has less power, and has a small cannister that needs to be emptied constantly when cleaning the whole house.

Keep your portable vacuum in your workshop, car, or even just in the garage. Don’t use it inside to clean your whole house, it is not built for that kind of workload, and just buy yourself a decent vacuum that can do the work inside your house to keep your tools out of trouble.
 
I saw myself within you from this post, lol! For me, nothing beats the standard upright vacuum, just stay with it. Plus, if you really want your dirt to be cleaned thoroughly, you can use the traditional vac to clean them all up.

You’re right, I think I’ll buy myself a traditional vacuum and a Milwaukee Packout Vacuum from here on out.
 
I use mine for quick garage cleanups, car detailing, and quick tool cleaning, that’s all. Been a Packout user for 6 months and I’m happy I didn’t even used it inside our house.

Mine’s for workshop and garage cleaning purposes only. No ifs and buts – garage and workshop.
 
No attachment for carpet cleaning or even brush, not ideal. Plus, the hair in your carpet or clothes might get stuck inside the machine – I think you should consider this.
 
My suggestion is to buy both – the Milwaukee Packout Vacuum and the traditional vacuum. Why you asked? Use them for what they are made of. MP vac for garage and outdoor stuff, use its portability to clean up sawdust, dirt, and any other workshop mess.

Now, use the traditional vacuum as your vacuum inside your house, let it handle household stuff like deep cleaning, carpet cleaning, and some fine dust build up within the house. This way, you’ll preserve your appliance and tool’s worth by using them in their preferred usage.

Packout Vac for me is great. But, when it comes to outdoor use, strong powered vac, and household use, you should get a traditional one for the job.
 
A big no when it comes to deep cleaning carpets or household chores. I only use my Packout Vacuum for my shop – nothing else. I have my separate vacuum for that and I will never use my Packout as a primary household vac.
 
If you’re using your Packout Vacuum for anything else rather than garage and workshop use, then you’re not a real collector (just my opinion).

Check out Dyson, they have a dual-purpose vac that work on both household carpets and car cleaning. Maybe this one’s for you if you really insist, rather than the Milwaukee Packout Vacuum?

Almost done the same as you. I ended up buying the Packout instead of a standard vacuum and I never felt more happier with my decision. For my household vacuum, I use a Shark inside the house.
