Anyone know the trick to opening a Kitchen Mama can opener?

OP nailed it. The trim on the front has 6 clips total, 2 on each of the long edges and 1 on each end. The clips on each end will snap on the side when you go to pry it open.

Steamboat cooker dead, is it usually the fuse in the controller?

9 times outta 10 its the thermal fuse on the element side actualy, not the controller fuse. People miss it cuz its tucked against the heating plate with a little metal clips. Controller fuse blowing usually means something downstream shorted.

DeLonghi pulling cold coffee usually the heater fuses?

You can jump the fuse but only for a few seconds while the machine is running. Dont leave it jumped on the coffee machine otherwise you'll violate the safety cutout.

DeLonghi pulling cold coffee usually the heater fuses?

Usually on the fuse itself. 184C or 192C depending on which one there is. If too charred to read then simply pull the model number off of the heater and look it up.

9 times out of 10 its the fuse. I've done 15 of these and only one where it was the element that failed. The fuse is a sacrificial part of the machine.

Anyone who likes to discuss about their favorite vintage tool brands?

Well, North Bros sounds best for me. No one can beat their durability, built like tanks and quality materials, their solid mechanism works like a dream. Vintage are more better compared to the new ones, they aren’t built as good as their vintage tools.
