50 minutes is misleading as it includes the resting period. Cook time is ~25 minutes. Remaining period is for the rice cooker to keep the rice warm which is when the rice grains actually firm up. If you open the lid it’ll ruin the rice as it will loose the steam that hold the rice grains together.

I disagree that crockpots minis arent designed for cooking rice. The low setting comes to around 190-200F which I find to be plenty to cook rice properly. It’s not supposed to just warm food, right?

Yes people do this all the time when testing the battery. Connect the power supply to the +/- terminals on the pack and drop a resistor on the ID pin. Also short the TH pin to ground through another 10k and the tool will fire right up.
