Recommend me some grease guns

Hey! Just wanted some quick advice, I need some suggestions about grease guns. Basically, using it for light work around our home and some pretty basic car maintenance. What options do you have? What do you guys think?

Not gonna lie, I am really overwhelmed by the options out there. Manual to pneumatic, to battery operated, to other fancy tools. I think I’m having a headache remembering these options lol! Do you have any brand recommendations that are reliable and easy to deal with?
 
Buy Lincoln or Lumax for light use and basic stuff. Their basic manual grease gun works fine for occasional maintenance.
 
Been using Milwaukee M12 for a long time now, and I would recommend it to anyone I know, especially those battery-powered tools – those are the real game changer! Super easy to use, worth every penny, and its great for greasing multiple fitting regularly. Hands down! 🙌

Heard awesome things about M tools! Isn’t M12 an overkill for light use? Ngl, it looks pretty awesome!
 
Stick with manual grease gun! Especially for you, whose work revolves around on basic car maintenance, and basic house tasks. Pneumatic and battery-operated tools are for frequent and heavy-duty use. Go with Lincoln, cheap but reliable.
 
Lincoln all the way! Been using it for years and it didn’t let me down even a single time. Straightforward, reliable, durable, easy to use, and tough! 👊 Nothing more can I ask for.

I experienced buying a cheap manual grease gun, turned out fine for a while. Months passed, turned into a really stressful tool when greasing multiple fittings – really had a hard time on pumping action. 🤦

Moving on, I bought a DeWalt 20V battery-powered grease gun. I know it is way more expensive than my first buy, but this tool makes all the work a lot easier and faster.

For me? You should consider battery-powered tools, especially DeWalt when you’re working regularly. But, for occasional work? A manual grease gun is also fine.

Just avoid the too good to be true offers. One of my biggest mistakes was buying that trash, leaked grease everywhere, it was pretty tiresome. Go for Lincoln or Lumax if you’re in to manual grease guns – you won’t experience any of my frustrations.

M12 is an overkill for simple jobs, but you won’t regret buying it if you find yourself to use greaser more. It will be a great addition or an investment! Milwaukee tools are considered investment for most people, just like me haha!
 
For manual guns, look for ones that has an air-bleeder valve. Its main purpose is for priming the gun waaaaay easier, especially for newbies. Don’t sleep on air-bleeder valve if you’re into manual guns.
 
Here’s my two cents for this topic
  • Manual grease guns are for occasional maintenance. Simple, easy to use, and gets the job done easily. Best brands? Lincoln and Lumax! They’re the most reputable and reliable brand when talking about manual grease guns.
  • Pneumatic or Battery-powered guns are mostly used for more than a handful of fittings and for everyday use. My pneumatic grease gun is easier on my hands compared to manual. I confess that I use mine every day. 😁
  • Milwaukee M12 and DeWalt 20V are battery-powered grease guns used for frequent use. They’re pretty expensive compared to manual or pneumatic grease guns, but they can totally do the job faster and easier.
It all depends on your need, how frequent you’ll be needing the gun, and your budget. Consider these 3 things before making a decision.

Air-bleeder valve! I almost forgot about that! My old gun didn’t have that feature, I had to deal with airlocks painfully. Kudos to your addition, man!
