Is it okay to buy a M12 insider pass-through ratchet? I have never seen anything like this 14.4mm size in my lifetime here in our town. In my research, this size is available only in Milwaukee. Is this for real?

Does this 14.4mm work with any standard size or this is just a Milwaukee thing?

it is a proprietary size. its ratchet only works with milwaukee made sockets. they offer adapters for standard size sockets, but no other brand of pass-through sockets will work.

I don't think it’s a standard size. Milwaukee probably did this to have proprietary sockets. Frankly, the socket set is about $70 and comes with the metric set, even if you buy just the tool. It is quite a steal.

Many thanks, bro! I’ll be sticking with Milwaukee’s sockets now!

when i see proprietary stuff i always think of good quality and maybe they are worth it. it also seems like milwaukee is making sure that we use their accessories so that we stay loyal lol.

Knowing Milwaukee tools, they are usually high-quality and durable. Proprietary sizes can be a real pain but if they are preforming well, then maybe it is not a big deal.

Yeah, I prefer universal fittings too. But if Milwaukee's set holds up, I might give it a shot.

Been a fan of Milwaukee tools for decades due to their quality and durability. If this M12 Insider holds it standards, the inconvenience of the proprietary socket size is nothing.

maybe the 14.4mm size is their way of ensuring the topmost performance with their tools. it is true that it is limiting, but maybe its for the better durability and eficiency

Has anyone had issues with the durability of the included sockets? Do they hold up well under regular use?

a more universal design from milwaukee would be much appreciated in the future. i hope they make tools that are more user friendly
